Our client, a frequent traveler, chose a parcel in the Riva Chase neighborhood in Golden for the easy access to the Interstate. The exceptionally steep lot (28% !) posed several challenges with excavation and foundation, however with mindful architecture and engineering, we were able to bring to life our client’s vision. Designed with entertaining in mind, we installed custom folding glass windows to create a seamless opening between the kitchen and the deck. The incredibly tall walk-out walls provided for an amazing deck that seemingly floats in mid-air.
